Job Description: |
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases.
- Perform surgical procedures related to the eye.
- Prescribe and manage treatment plans for patients with eye disorders, including medications, corrective lenses, and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide emergency eye care services for conditions such as eye injuries, acute infections, and sudden vision changes.
- Educate patients about their eye conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure they understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Address patient concerns and inquiries in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as optometrists, primary care physicians, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and manage complex cases.
- Provide consultations and second opinions for patients referred from other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
- Any other relevant task assigned by line manager
