Job Description:

Organization summary:

Qatar Charity is a Doha-Qatar based International Non-Governmental Organization. Since the inception of QC services in Pakistan early 1992, the organization reflect its greater scope of work to respond to extreme poverty and the Government’s priorities. QC through its field offices enabled itself to strategically address the developmental and humanitarian needs at the very local level. QC is undertaking programmes associated with the socio-economic development of the Country. The projects are categorized under six programme pillars: Youth Leadership & Social Protection, Education, Provision of WASH, Health (with a focus on MNCH), Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Livelihood (EESL) and Disaster Response & Preparedness (DRP), along with its Seasonal Programs like meat distribution, Ramadhan program etc. In Pakistan, Qatar Charity is having its country office in Islamabad and field offices in KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and AJK.

Manage QC’s Social Protection Program around the station of his/her responsibilities. Furnish reports and data feedback for donors using QC Portal or another assigned medium. Maintain close coordination and working relationship with government departments and fellow non-governmental organizations, conduct assessment, verification, follow up and validation activities and ensure the required program control mechanism is followed in dealing with beneficiaries and other stakeholders

Responsibilities:

Technical 

  • Conduct assessment and identification activities for new applications and uploading on QC portal
  • Ensure legal standards and guidelines are being followed and the child’s best Interest is safeguarded
  • Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities PWDs in mainstream support opportunities
  • Ensure implementing Qatar Charity Compliance Standards/requirements
  • Ensure effective liaison with relevant government department and district administration and concerned institutions, community groups
  • Provide regular programmatic support i.e. management of the filed activities
  • arrangement of the related events, coordination with concerned government departments and other fellow organization
  • Follow up and validation activities 

Management 

  • Assist Program Officer in assessment of training needs for the character-building of children, arrange and manage recreational events and create exposure opportunities for the children and their families
  • Respond to reports of abuse and neglect and provide support services
  • Conduct investigations into reports of abuse (i.e. violation of sponsorship agreement)
  • Identify and implement health care and other relevant activities
  • Support the families of the sponsored children in preparing related citizenship and proof documents, financial documents where applicable (written and verbal) for NADRA/Bank purposes
  • Develop and implement case plans including, regular  household visits,  reviews and evaluations and generate special reports
  • Provide personal history reports/case studies of the outstanding children and make recommendations
  • Perform other program-related activities when and as advised by the supervisor i.e. finding new registration venues, arranging reports and pictures of the children/families.
  • Travel and attend to activities related to the welfare and benefit of the sponsored children and their families
  • Complete others special assignments as and when assigned by the Line Manager

Reporting 

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Master’s degree/University degree in any of the relevant field - management, business management, rural development, development studies or social sciences. 

Relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in the relevant field area in development sector.
  • Must be technically sound in the relevant areas of work.
  • Have a strong financial management skill to ensure optimal spending and utilization of financial resources.

Computer knowledge

  • Microsoft Office & other reporting tools 

Skills and Personality:

Communication skills

  • Strong management and supervisory skills with ability to manage conflicts.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders

Personality description

  • Courteous, Responsible, Integral, Punctual, Trustworthy

Technical skills

  • Program Management Skills
  • Reporting Writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of budget preparation / variance analysis etc. 
  • Work experience in complex emergency /rehabilitation settings.
