Responsibilities:
• Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Overall supervision of all field terms and offices to ensure policies are in place and followed.
• Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency• Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Establishes office management manual and guidelines and manages internal communications
• Oversees facilities and office management functions and directly manages administrative support team with such tasks as reception, secretarial functions and conference facilities
• Supports staff travel including visas, advances, transport, and accommodations needs
• Oversees procurement and maintains inventory of project equipment and supplies, including liaising with vendors and maintenance firms to ensure timely payment and receipt of goods
• Manages polices and systems for staff safety and project resource security
• Staff management, identifying areas for capacity building and carrying out capacity building sessions.
• Ensures that supply chain management systems are properly functioning as per the program’s goal and objectives.
• Formulates and coordinates all supplies control measures, supplies tracking systems, accounting systems and generally accepted commodity accounting principles to ensure compliance at all levels.
• Identify requirements and establish and maintain all logistical infrastructures for administration and operations.
• Under the supervision of the CD, identify and analyse procurement and transport requirements including those of partner agencies as appropriate.
• Provide overall direction of country program operations through leadership vision and carry a verity of innovations in to this position.
• Fleet Management by development of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly plans which include various management levels and development.
