Job Description: |
Reporting Line: Director / Head of Legal
Location: Karachi
Remuneration: PKR 300k+
Experience: 10 to 12 years’ experience, including contract drafting, business development and team management
Education: LLB mandatory + LLM (or equivalent) preferable
Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial and transactional matters, proposing creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for business growth and development
- Cultivate and develop strong relationship with senior members of internal and external stakeholders
- Research, analyse and remain up-to-date on the latest developments in relevant laws and regulations for impact assessment and business analysis
- Review, draft and negotiate legal documentation with a view to safeguard company interests and legal liability
- Drive the contract lifecycle from drafting through execution, including undertaking a key role in contract negotiation
- Management and capacity building of the South division of Legal Department
- Hire, manage, and develop high-quality team members if and when required
- Implement, monitor and devise best practices to streamline legal operational and administrative processes
- Arrange and keep up-to-date all legal documents, transaction agreements and any other information in accordance with internal SOPs
- Work closely with, facilitate, and assist regional acquisition and business development teams
- Perform the functions of the position with only periodic oversight and is expected to perform with minimal supervisory intervention
- Assist the Head of Legal in strategic organisational & project development pursuits
