Role Description

• We are a rapidly growing Melbourne-based analytics company looking for outstanding talent to join the team to help us accelerate the transformation of the retail industry through the usage of data, artificial intelligence and human ingenuity.
• We are driven to ensure our customers succeed. We look to do this by enabling them to optimise their retail sales environment including their marketing and promotions efforts and workforce.
• We do this by cleverly combining our unique sensor data and their data - all in real-time.
• We are looking for a PHP Developer to support our effort to combine our customers data with ours to enable the optimizations of each customers business and reveal future opportunities.
• This role is critical to the success of our customers' implementations and the continued success of our solution.
• You will be working with our business analysts and development team to maintain smooth operations.
• A successful candidate will be a person who enjoys processes and problem solving.

Key responsibilities include:

• Software Development using PHP AND Symphony Framework
• Object Orientated Cross-platform development
• Database design and development
• Writing Unit test with PHP Unit testing framework

Skills required:

• Proven PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/AJAX Skills
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases
• Development experience UNIX/Linux platforms
• Source management tool GIT/Bitbucket
• Experience with PHP Unit Testing and Symphony Framework
• Experience with test driven development
• Experience working within an Agile software development team
• Database design and development
• Development of self-testing code
• Excellent communications and listening skills
• Excellent organisational, trouble shooting, problem determination & resolution and analytical skills
• Strong team player and individual contributor with the ability to build relationships across the organisation
• Process oriented in change and problem management disciplines
• Agile and adaptable
• Understanding of emerging web technologies
