The basic requirements for the position are as follow:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating Charges based on superbill
• Responsible for timely submission of claims to insurance companies
• Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures
• Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
• Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims
• Verifying patients’ insurance coverage (Eligibility)
• Answering patients’ billing questions
• Handling collections on unpaid accounts
• Managing the facility’s Accounts Receivable reports
